At least 10 to 15 large ants are emerging from the girl’s ear everyday.

If you’re at all squeamish, don’t watch the video below. With an endoscopic camera, doctors filmed a strange procedure as they removed ants from a 12-year-old girl’s ear.

Yes, you read that right. In an extremely strange case that can’t be found anywhere in medical history, a girl from Deesa, Gujarat in India has been unlucky enough to be chosen as the host for an ant nest — right inside of her ear.

The young girl, Shreya Darji, complained of an irritation in her ear back in August, but said she didn’t feel any pain. After taking a look at her ear, her father reportedly saw some of the large ants inside and took her to an ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor.

The doctor removed 10 ants from her ear, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of it.

Two weeks later, the strange condition returned, and Shreya was referred to a different ENT specialist. The professional who performed the second ant extraction, Dr. Jawahar Talsania, claims he has never seen anything like this case in his 35 years of practice.

He told the Times of India, “The girl's case is very challenging for me, as I have never seen such a case, nor found it in medical history. The big ants must be biting her, but the girl did not even feel pain inside her ears. Besides, there was no damage inside her ear."

According to the Times of India, at least 10 to 15 large ants are emerging from the girl’s ear everyday. If this continues, then the 12-year-old will be kept under video observation, and Talsania hopes that the footage will help doctors solve the mystery.

Since this strange case is the first of its kind in medical history, doctors are still trying to figure out how and why the ants chose to nest up inside the girl’s ear.

Until then, take a minute or two to get thoroughly grossed out by the footage of doctors removing the large ants from her ear — disclaimer: it’s not pretty.
