Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy’ is set to make a comeback in 2017.

Back in August, Netflix released an official announcement that Bill Nye will be hosting a new talk show, Bill Nye Saves the World, set to launch in the spring of 2017.

“Each episode will tackle a topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry,” according to the Netflix press release.

Since his hit show Science Guy, which sparked a widespread interest in science among kids back in the 1990s, Nye says he’s “been on a mission to change the world by getting people everywhere excited about the fundamental ideas in science.”

In the new Netflix talk show, Nye will tackle complex scientific issues, like vaccines, climate change, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in food.

“With the right science and good writing, we’ll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience,” Nye said in the press release. “And, perhaps we’ll change the world a little.”
