Air travel doesn't have to be so awful!

With the holiday season around the corner, many of us will be taking long flights to visit family and friends abroad.  Those who travel frequently might be aware of how unpleasant jet lag can be after a long distance flight crossing through multiple time zones.

Jet lag is a result of your body finding it difficult to adjust to a new time zone, and can cause you to feel drowsy and without energy once you arrive at your final destination.

But, how does jet lag really work, scientifically speaking? And, is there anything we can do to reduce the symptoms?

In this video, The Royal Institution dives into the science of circadian rhythms and how they affect our biological clock. They go on to explain how jet lag occurs and provide some useful hints on how to prevent it from happening! Hope it comes in useful!
