Is reality the same as perception? Have you every wondered if sound vibrations are the same as the sounds we perceive?
The question all depends on your perspective. Is sound a physical thing (vibrations of different frequencies), or is sound what we hear after the brain has processed those vibrations and we perceive them in a way that makes sense to our brains.
So, if a tree falls in the forest does it make a sound?
In fact, sound is different frequencies of vibrations, but unless someone is in the forest to hear it, those vibrations cannot be converted into sound. Sound is our brain’s unique ability to recognize different frequencies and interpret them. So if a tree falls in a forest and there is no one to perceive the vibrations made by the fall, there would be no sound.
