A good posture has many health benefits.
Has anyone ever told you to “Stand up straight!” or stop looking downwards at your cell phone screen so regularly? Comments like these might frustrate you, but they are not wrong. Unfortunately, in today’s society, there are many things that encourage us to have poor posture, like sitting down in front of a computer for extended periods of time in uncomfortable positions while looking down at a screen.
Your posture is your foundation, and it can determine how well your body can adapt to the stresses that are applied to it daily. Poor posture can lead to many different health problems; it is linked to back pain, tension headaches and scoliosis. The team over at TED-Ed has created this animated video where they discuss some useful tips to help improve posture, which could ultimately contribute to many heath benefits later in life. You may thank us later!
